Pallet Racking

What is adjustable pallet racking?

Adjustable pallet racking (APR) is the standard selective racking used in most UK warehouses: upright frames and pairs of beams create bays where every pallet can be reached directly by a forklift. SteelAisle manufactures complete bays, frames and beams and ships them factory direct, sized to your pallets, loads and building height.

Order quantities, lead time and delivery

There is no fixed minimum order. Full 20 ft or 40 ft containers give the lowest cost per bay, and mixed loads of racking, shelving and accessories are common. Typical lead time is 3 to 5 weeks production plus 5 to 7 weeks sea freight to a UK port, then delivery to your site; your quote confirms the dates. See lead times and delivery.

Samples and documents

We can send sample sections, such as a beam end and an upright offcut, so you can check profile and finish. Sample cost and courier are quoted by our sales team. Each order ships with our load tables, and test reports are available on request; see quality and standards.

Frequently asked questions

How many pallets fit on one beam level?

A 2,700 mm beam takes three Euro pallets (800 wide) or two UK pallets presented on the 1,200 side; a 2,250 mm beam takes two UK pallets presented on the 1,000 side.

Can you match our existing racking?

We can supply frames and beams to your dimensions, but mixing beams and frames from different manufacturers is not recommended. Send photos of the upright profile and connector so we can advise.

Do you install?

We supply the racking and can introduce a UK installer; many customers use their own SEIRS-carded installation team.

Which documents come with the order?

Each order comes with our load tables, and connector and frame test reports are available on request, so your installer can produce load notices.
