A racking factory selling direct to the UK

SteelAisle manufactures pallet racking, cantilever racking, industrial shelving, mezzanine structures and rack protection in our own factory in China, and supplies them factory direct to warehouses, manufacturers, retailers and racking installers in the UK and Ireland.

Why we sell direct

Racking is heavy, bulky and simple to describe on a drawing. Every extra trading layer between the factory and the warehouse adds margin and slows down answers to technical questions. Selling direct lets us price at factory level and gives you a straight line to the team that rolls, welds and coats your racking.

What happens in our factory

• Roll forming: uprights, beams and shelving sections are formed from steel coil to the profile and gauge on your drawing.
• Punching and welding: uprights are perforated at 75 mm pitch and beam connectors are welded to the beam sections.
• Surface finish: parts are powder coated in the colours you choose, or galvanised for cold and outdoor use.
• Inspection and packing: dimensions, welds and coating are checked, then parts are bundled, labelled by bay and loaded for export.

How we handle the UK side

Because we are based outside the UK, we are clear about who does what. We design the layout, manufacture and ship the racking, and provide load tables and documents. Installation, load notices and inspections are carried out in the UK by your installer or a SEIRS-carded installer we introduce, in line with EN 15635 and SEMA guidance.
