Quality and standards

How we check racking in our factory, which documents you receive, and how UK standards apply once it is installed.

SteelAisle racking is designed and checked in our factory against your layout, and each order ships with our load tables; frame and connector test reports are available on request. In the UK, racking design is covered by EN 15512, installation tolerances by EN 15620 and safe use and inspection by EN 15635, with SEMA publishing guidance for installers and inspectors.

Inspections after installation

EN 15635 and SEMA guidance recommend that staff report damage straight away, that a person responsible for racking safety carries out regular visual checks, and that a technically competent person carries out an expert inspection at least every 12 months. Damage is graded green (monitor), amber (repair within four weeks) or red (offload immediately). We can supply replacement frames and beams matched to your original order.
