What are pallet racking beams?
Pallet racking beams are the horizontal members that carry the pallets. Each level needs a pair of beams; their length is set by the pallets per level and their capacity by the pallet weight. Beams lock into the upright perforations and are secured with safety locking pins.

Order quantities, lead time and delivery
There is no fixed minimum order. Full 20 ft or 40 ft containers give the lowest cost per bay, and mixed loads of racking, shelving and accessories are common. Typical lead time is 3 to 5 weeks production plus 5 to 7 weeks sea freight to a UK port, then delivery to your site; your quote confirms the dates. See lead times and delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Can I add a beam level to my racking?
Usually yes, but adding or moving levels changes the frame capacity. Your racking inspector or installer should check the new configuration and update the load notice.
What is the difference between box and step beams?
Step beams have a ledge that holds decks and pallet supports flush; box beams are fully closed and used where decks are not needed.
